Hi, Dhanya here. Starting this blog has always been a ponderous thought for me. As I contemplated the myriad of topics I could delve into and share with all of you, I came to the realization that the crucial first step is to unveil my motivation behind the chosen path and shed light on the diverse factors that have influenced my journey thus far.

I come from a middle-class conservative family, and my school days were spent with my parents and grandparents. Under the strict guidance of my grandfather, everything felt taboo to me. I presented myself differently at school and college than I did at home, struggling to break free from my shell within the confines of my family. Thankfully, with my father's support, I pursued and completed my Masters in Business Economics and an MPhil in Applied Economics.

Initially, I began my career teaching final-year Engineering students while working towards my MPhil certification. However, I soon felt a void in my teaching career. I realized that working only a few hours a day was not fulfilling for me—I craved a more active and engaging role that would occupy at least 10-12 hours of my day.

Transitioning into banking seemed like the next logical step, and I dedicated over 17 valuable years to this field. In the earlier years, I worked tirelessly, neglecting my own well-being and health due to my workaholic tendencies. Eventually, I reached a point where I realized it was high time for me to pause, reflect on my desires, and find a balance. After eight successful years, I was given a sales role that had previously been exclusively held by men. This newfound freedom allowed me to strike a healthier equilibrium between work and personal well-being.

Unfortunately, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing lockdowns took a toll on me emotionally. Juggling overtime work and household responsibilities, I started harboring feelings of self-hatred and yearned for an escape to find peace of mind.

To embark on a path of self-improvement, I delved into self-help books and joined the 5am club. I began my mornings with a 5am walk, followed by a two-hour routine that incorporated journaling and podcast listening. Many inspirational speakers influenced me, and I also started studying the Bhagavad Gita. A pivotal moment came when I read the book "IKIGAI", which changed my life. Determined to discover my own passion, I continued exploring various books. One morning, while listening to podcasts during my walk, the term "life coach" caught my attention—a word I had never encountered before.

Intrigued, I conducted an online search, discovering numerous life coaches. Through my research, I had the fortune of connecting with Mr. Subash, a life coach and mentor who also had a background in banking. It became evident that he understood the challenges I was facing, and thus began my journey as a life coach.

Prior to this, I had already been deeply invested in fitness due to a past health setback caused by my own carelessness. Yoga, working out in the gym, cycling, swimming, and meditation had become integral parts of my life. Becoming a yoga instructor allowed me to share the benefits and joy of yoga with others.

Reflecting on my experiences, I now believe that everything happens for a reason. The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns forced me to confront the trajectory of my life. With the guidance of a life coach, I overcame initial obstacles and embarked on a journey towards mental and physical wellness.

Additionally, I am a certified Personal Finance coach and have successfully completed several important programs, including the Personal Finance Mentorship Program. For many years, I have provided guidance in personal finance, leveraging my background as a banker to assist numerous individuals in achieving financial stability.

Presently, I am experiencing a heightened sense of energy and fulfillment that surpasses any previous point in my life. This newfound vigor has fueled my unwavering commitment to live by the life mantra I have embraced. Furthermore, I am driven to extend my assistance to others, enabling them to discover their own fulfillment and satisfaction in life.
